A staple from the brand's long shuttered Kohinoor collection of high-end luxury mechanical timepieces, this watch honours that legacy by incorporating a bespoke mechanical hand-wound movement featuring 17 jewels and HMT's venerated PARA SHOCK technology that provides both industry-leading shock and water resistance in a silhouetted stainless steel case. A domed display magnifies the watch face to aid in visibility.
HMT engineered the movement in-house to cater exclusively for the domestic market – with the Kohinoor built to withstand continuous operation in the nation's extreme environments and work unflinchingly within the harshest of climates – from the freezing cold of the Himalayas to the scorching heat of the deserts of Rajasthan… the Kohinoor can handle it all with a breeze.
As of 2016, HMT Limited watches is no longer in the business of watchmaking, with the company exclusively focused on selling-off existing limited stock supplies. All this coupled with the exclusivity of being a hand-wound mechanical wristwatch from the late 1970s, makes the HMT Kohinoor a very sought after timepiece for collectors and horologists alike.
